On Saturday May 18, 2013 the Raritan Headwaters Association (RHA) will be holding the 11th Annual Ride for the River- a Motorcycle Poker Run that will highlight the beauty of the Raritan headwaters region. This rain or shine event is a fixture among motorcycle enthusiasts who have an appreciation for the beauty of our 470 square mile watershed region. We are aiming for over 200 riders this year, plus families and friends to enjoy this exciting day.

Please consider attending and supporting this event! Sponsorships are available at the Silver level $250, Gold $500, Platinum $1,000 and Diamond $5,000. If you would like more information regarding becoming a sponor please contact Cindy Ehrenclou(cehrenclou@raritanheadwaters.org). Ride for the River is a major fundraising event for us this year. Your support is crucial in ensuring that RHA’s valuable programs continue to protect our water resources and the communities and ecosystems that depend on them. This watershed is the source of drinking water for over 1.5 million residents and businesses, as well as a vital scenic, recreational and natural resource. For more than 53 years we have provided environmental education, community well testing, stream monitoring and research and open space preservation.

The Ride for the River Poker Run starts with bagels and coffee at the Schooley’s Mountain County Park, 91 East Springtown Road, in Long Valley, Washington Township. Riders will travel approximately 65 miles through the watershed and then return to Schooley’s Mountain County Park for a picnic. Families and friends are invited to attend also, to enjoy the great food, vendors and the soft rock music of The John Austin Band. There will be prizes for top poker hands and a People’s Choice Bike Show. Sponsorships are available and we encourage our Sponsors to attend as our guests!

Pre-registration is $25, and includes a Ride for the River t-shirt and lapel pin. Please click HERE to preregister on our secure web site, and pay by credit card no later than May 3rd.

Or, you may also register the day of the event however, the T-shirt sale and lapel pin will be separate ($15 per shirt – $5 lapel pin). Not a motorcycle rider? No need to miss out on a great afternoon! Please join us in the afternoon for food, fun and music from 11 a.m.to 3:00 p.m. for just $10 per person, rain or shine.
