Full Moon Campfire & Night Hike
Gather around a warm campfire to roast marshmallows and learn about the night sky! Afterwards, we’ll go for a night hike, using our senses to listen for owls and enjoying the glow of the Full Moon!
Annual Stream Clean-Up
Join thousands of volunteers from around our area as we remove tons of trash from the rivers and streams of the watershed! More info here.
Enjoy a quiet morning reflecting on the peace and beauty of the watershed! Director of Education (and yoga instructor) Lauren Theis will guide participants through walking and sitting meditations alongside the beautiful Rockaway Creek at the Whittemore Preserve in Oldwick.
Rain Barrel Workshop
Join us to learn about stormwater management in your yard and build your own rain barrel to bring home! Learn the importance of these barrels in saving water, and how to use them effectively.
During the workshop, participants have the option to build and take home a rain barrel for $40, or just attend the workshop for free (donations will be accepted at the door). All participants will receive literature on rain barrels and rain gardens, and a pack of native plant seeds.
