Full Moon Campfire & Night Hike

6:30 to 8:30 pm

Gather around a warm campfire to roast marshmallows and learn about the night sky!  Afterwards, we’ll go for a night hike, using our senses to listen for owls and enjoying the glow of the Full Moon!

Annual Stream Clean-Up

9 am to Noon

This year’s stream cleanup will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018 from 9 am until noon at multiple locations around the watershed in Hunterdon, Somerset, and Morris Counties.

  • If you want to register more than 15 people, please contact Angela Gorczyca directly.
  • Register by March 1st to be guaranteed a stream cleanup t-shirt.
  • Register by March 26th to be guaranteed your stream cleanup supplies. If you sign up after the 26th, please bring your own gloves and bags.

Streamside Meditation

Rain Barrel Workshop

Join us to learn about stormwater management in your yard and build your own rain barrel to bring home! Learn the importance of these barrels in saving water, and how to use them effectively.

During the workshop, participants have the option to build and take home a rain barrel for $40, or just attend the workshop for free (donations will be accepted at the door). All participants will receive literature on rain barrels and rain gardens, and a pack of native plant seeds.

Meet the River

Get your feet wet (literally!) while we teach you about the wonders of water! Our educators will show you some incredible critters that live in our streams, help you try out fly fishing, make beautiful art with watercolors, and help you get to know your local river!
