Raritan Headwaters Association has partnered with the Town of Clinton to improve the riparian buffer along the South Branch Raritan River in Clinton and will be planting 300 native trees and shrubs along the riverbank on April 22nd (Earth Day) from 9:00am-2:00pm. We have set a rain date for April 23rd from 9:00am-2:00pm.
RHA is seeking volunteers to help plant these trees and install tree protection to prevent deer browse. RHA will be pre-drilling holes for the trees, so no to very minimal digging will be necessary during the planting. If you are interested in joining us, please pre-register so we can properly plan. When registering for this event, please also complete the Volunteer Release form below. We will continue to provide updates by email closer to the event. Please reach out to Restoration Coordinator, Robert Lucas with questions rlucas@raritanheadwaters.org. If you have any questions about volunteering for RHA, please email RHA’s Volunteer Coordinator, Debbie Newcomb at dnewcomb@raritanheadwaters.org.
