We are the Watershed Watchdog

Since 1959, Raritan Headwaters and its parent organizations, the Upper Raritan Watershed Association (URWA) and South Branch Watershed Association (SBWA), have been the only organization annually monitoring the water quality in our streams, rivers and aquifers.  Our award-winning Stream Monitoring Program has been using the same, rigorous scientific methods of collecting water quality data for the past 25 years.  Our Well Test Program has been providing the service of affordable, reliable drinking water testing for residents of the watershed while also providing data on the health of our groundwater – the main drinking source for the North and South Branch Raritan Region (WMA8).
