Join us for the 2nd in our 2024 Watershed Tools for Local Leaders Webinar Series, “New Rules for Municipal Stormwater Permits.”

Stormwater causes major problems for our local communities and is expected to worsen with climate change. Flooding after rainstorms creates public safety issues and causes extensive property damage. Pollution carried by stormwater threatens drinking water, the local economy, and aquatic life.

We will discuss the local impacts of flooding and pollution caused by stormwater in your communities, and the new NJDEP MS4 permit rules for stormwater discharge into streams, which requires municipalities to use green infrastructure in new public and private developments.  In addition, we will introduce Watershed Restoration and Protection Plans being developed for municipalities in the region.

The webinar is free but registration is required.  To register or to learn more, contact Tracy Gordon, RHA’s Municipal Outreach Coordinator and Science Associate, at tgordon@raritanheadwaters.org.
