Rain Barrel Workshop
Raritan Headwaters is partnering with Hunterdon County Parks. Rain barrels collect rainwater from your roof and can be used for watering plants. This is a great way to capture stormwater before it runs off into the nearest storm drain and ultimately the nearest water body. Stormwater carries pollutants and causes erosion. Rain gardens are another great way to capture and slow rainwater. These are specially designed gardens to allow water to slowly percolate as plant roots filtrate out unwanted pollution.
DIY your own barrel. All materials and tools will be provided.
