Rain Barrels & Rain Gardens: A Win-Win for Your Yard and Our Watershed!
A rain barrel connects directly to your home’s gutter to capture stormwater that can be reused to water gardens, trees, and landscaping. By collecting rain where it falls, you conserve drinking water, reduce polluted runoff to local streams, and help prevent soil erosion.
Join Raritan Headwaters Association (RHA) at the Bethlehem Township Community Center to build your own rain barrel to take home. During this hands-on workshop, we’ll cover the basics of rain barrels and rain gardens, explore how they can be incorporated into your landscape, and discuss why managing stormwater is so important for protecting clean water in our watershed.
All materials and tools needed to construct your barrel are included.
Come ready to build, learn, and make a positive impact right in your own backyard!
