Kayak or canoe downriver on the South Branch of the Raritan River from Three Bridges, NJ to Old York Road in Branchburg, NJ. The 10 ½ mile paddle will take around 4 to 5 hours with reasonably steady but relaxed paddling with a late lunch stop (mile 5). This section of the river flows through open space, sparse woods, and old fields, with lots of birdlife. Flat-water paddle with a few class 1 ripples as the river meanders around many bends in a steady, easy current. The downriver trip will end where the South Branch joins the North Branch to become the Raritan River proper. An early out option is available at the lunch stop about half-way at Elm Street in Neshanic Station.

There is an option for an early out at the lunch stop. All details will be sent to registered participant one week before scheduled day.
