The Raritan Headwaters Association has partnered with the Somerset County Parks Commission to improve the riparian buffer along the North Branch of the Raritan River at North Branch Park and will be planting 1,000 native trees and shrubs along the riverbank on October 13th and 14th.
RHA is seeking volunteers to help plant these trees and install tree protection to prevent deer browse. Somerset County will be pre-drilling holes for the trees, so no to very minimal digging will be necessary during the planting. If you are interested in joining us, please pre-register for a date and time preference. When registering for this event, please also complete the Volunteer Release and Photo Release forms below. We will continue to provide updates by email closer to the event. Please reach out to Restoration Coordinator, Robert Lucas with questions rlucas@raritanheadwaters.org If you have any questions about volunteering for RHA, please email RHA’s Volunteer Coordinator, Debbie Newcomb at dnewcomb@raritanheadwaters.org
