Come join us to help remove invasive wineberry plants from Round Valley Recreation Area! This event is a partnership between the NJDEP AmeriCorps New Jersey Watershed Ambassador Program and New Jersey State Park Service. Volunteers will be pulling out wineberries along the White trail. Wineberry easily outcompetes native plant species and can form dense thickets. Wineberry removal will allow more growth of native plants which provide vital benefits such as food and shelter for local wildlife, increased biodiversity, and healthier soil and water.
