Raritan Headwaters Association is pleased to welcome three new members to the Board of Trustees: Shireen Fathi of Basking Ridge, Kate Conger of Newfoundland, and Mario Caballero of Clinton. In addition, Stew Brunhouse – a longtime RHA board member and former president who first joined in 2007 – has returned after taking a year off.

Shireen Fathi is a vice president in corporate banking at the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), where she has been employed since 2016. She has been involved with Raritan Headwaters for the past eight years, organizing annual stream clean-ups and volunteer days for RBC employees. A graduate of New York University, majoring in business with a minor in chemistry, Shireen is actively involved in RBC’s diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives. She co-chairs RWomen USA (an RBC affinity group), and through RBC is involved with the National Eating Disorders Association, and the Billion Oyster Project.

Kate Conger, a former member of RHA’s development staff, now devotes her time to philanthropic work in her hometown of Peapack-Gladstone and surrounding area. She serves as trustee on the Green Pond Environmental Commission, volunteers as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for abused and neglected children, serves on the Advisory Council for Community in Crisis in Bernardsville, heads charitable giving for the Green Pond Women’s Club Standing Committee, and works alongside the membership committee for Impact100 New Jersey.

Mario Caballero oversees the global manufacturing cybersecurity program for Signify/Philips Lighting. He recently took up beekeeping and is the founder of Native Meadows Honey LLC. Mario is passionate about sustainability and renewable energy, and serves as chair of the Clinton Township Environmental Commission and the municipal Green Team, vice president of the NJ Chapter of the Electric Vehicle Association, and a member of the Advisory Board of the Hunterdon County Environmental Sustainability and Engineering Academy. He holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Villanova University and a master’s degree in IT from the Florida Institute of Technology.

Welcome, Shireen, Kate and Mario – and welcome back, Stew!
