Light up the night with colorful lanterns on Sunday, Nov. 9, at our annual Lantern Walk, a family-friendly celebration of autumn, nature, and the local community.

Based on traditional European harvest festivals, this year’s Lantern Walk will be held from 3-7 p.m. on Fairview Farm Wildlife Preserve at 2121 Larger Cross Road, Bedminster.

Guests of all ages will walk through the moonlit meadows of Fairview Farm, holding paper lanterns as festive music plays. Other activities for children include face painting, making flower crowns, and, before sunset, a “Fairy Ball” themed party in a wooded area.

It’s a magical evening as we walk the trails, led by the warm glow of lanterns during this season of early sunsets. As always, children are invited to come in costume – we usually have a fantastic turnout of fairies and other woodland creatures!

The event will raise funds for RHA’s conservation mission and programs.

Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for children, and they include lanterns. You can purchase in advance at www.raritanheadwaters.org/event/lanternwalk or buy them at the door. The rain date is set for the following Sunday, Nov. 16.

The popular Testo farm-to-table wood-fired pizza truck will be on site throughout the event. Guests are asked to leave pets at home.
