In keeping with the new tradition established last year between WMA8 Ambassadors and Raritan Headwaters, our AmeriCorps Ambassador Cameron McKenzie chose to give back by protecting the trees that are constantly providing services for us, by restoring habitat suitable for them to grow and flourish. Working with RHA Land Stewardship Manager Rebekah Buczynski, Cameron planned and executed a very successful Martin Luther King Jr Day of Service event Monday, January 18, on Fairview Farm. He and every current Ambassador in the program worked together with great attitudes and enduring effort to clear close to 3 acres of young forest, freeing and protecting 300 planted tree saplings from the impedance of non-native shrubs and vines and the pressures of deer browse.
