Raritan Headwaters Association has partnered with Califon Borough to improve the riparian buffer along the South Branch Raritan River in Califon and will be planting 150 native trees and shrubs along the riverbank on October 21st from 10:00am – 1:00pm.

RHA is seeking volunteers to help plant these trees and install tree protection to prevent deer browse. RHA and Califon Borough will be pre-drilling holes for the trees, so no to very minimal digging will be necessary during the planting. If you are interested in joining us, please pre-register to help us with our planning efforts. Please reach out to Restoration Coordinator, Robert Lucas with questions rlucas@raritanheadwaters.org If you have any questions about volunteering for RHA, please email RHA’s Volunteer Coordinator, Debbie Newcomb at dnewcomb@raritanheadwaters.org. The Event will be held at Califon Island Park and there is plenty of parking, as well as a restroom option.
