Raritan Headwaters Association has partnered with Peapack & Gladstone Borough to improve the riparian buffer along the Peapack Brook in Gladstone and will be planting 150 native trees and shrubs along the riverbank on November 2nd from 10:00am – 1:00pm. Rain date planting is scheduled for November 9th.
RHA is seeking volunteers to help plant these trees and install tree protection to prevent deer browse. RHA and Peapack & Gladstone Borough will be pre-drilling holes for the trees, so no to very minimal digging will be necessary during the planting. If you are interested in joining us, please pre-register to help us with our planning efforts. Please reach out to Restoration Coordinator, Robert Lucas with questions rlucas@raritanheadwaters.org If you have any questions about volunteering for RHA, please email RHA’s Volunteer Coordinator, Debbie Newcomb at dnewcomb@raritanheadwaters.org. The Event will be held at Rockabye Meadow Nature Preserve and there is plenty of parking.
