Site monitors North Branch Raritan River and Raritan River North Branch (incl. McVickers to India Brook) subwatershed.

The site is located downstream of the historic schoolhouse at the intersection of Mosle and Union Schoolhouse Roads.

The sample site riffle is also adjacent to a wooded property preserved with a conservation easement held by Raritan Headwaters.
This site is located with in the Raritan River North Branch (incl. McVickers to India Brook) subwatershed.
