As her role evolved, she assumed the position of RHA’s Watershed Scientist, specializing in groundwater resources and overseeing the Community Well Test program. Mara’s dedication led her to become the Associate Director, where she managed the organization’s land preservation efforts and municipal outreach programs. Today, she proudly serves as the Executive Director.

Beyond her role at Raritan Headwaters, Mara actively contributes to various initiatives and task forces, including the NJ Lead Task Force, NJ Forest Task Force, NJ Private Well Consortium, and as the Vice-chair of the Highlands Coalition Policy Committee. In her Kingwood Township residence, Mara is a committed parent raising three children, and she passionately engages in community service. Mara actively serves as the Vice-chair of the Environmental Commission, leader of the local Green Team, and member of the Parks and Recreation Committee, showcasing her commitment to environmental advocacy.
